Two More Free Schools to Open in H&F to Meet Demand for Places
Two new free primary schools are opening doors in the borough and thus easing the shortage of school places.
The Department for Education has agreed plans for Earls Court Primary School to open under the West London Free School Academy Trust, and for ARK Burlington Danes Academy to extend. This means that the total number of free schools in Hammersmith and Fulham will go up to 7.
There are plans of opening six more free primary schools by 2018.
At first, Earls Court Primary will open at the West London Free Primary School (WLFS), which is scheduled to open in Hammersmith this autumn, before moving to its permanent location in the Earls Court redevelopment, near the cleaners in Fulham, where it will reach its full capacity of 300 pupils.
